Giá máy bắn cáFollowing more than three years of discussions and negotiations since the 2016 referendum, the UK has now left the EU with a transitional arrangement until 31 December 2020. Looking forward, we recognise that you will have questions and concerns about how this might impact you.
We are proud of our diverse community and continue to welcome and support all nationalities. This will not change as a result of the UK’s exit from the EU. We will ensure that our programmes and community continue to thrive in the UK and beyond.
If you are a non-EU national, there have been no changes to current student visa requirements
Giá máy bắn cáYou can continue to come to the UK under free movement rules. You will not require a visa or any type of immigration permission in order to study at LBS. This also applies to your family members.
After you arrive in the UK, you will need to apply for the EU Settlement Scheme. The scheme is in place for any EU nationals who are resident in the UK before 31 December 2020 to confirm your residence in the UK, and your right to remain here permanently.
Giá máy bắn cáThe process is free, online straight-forward and should take no more than 30 minutes.
After you apply, you’ll be granted “pre-settled” status. This means you’ll be able to stay in the UK for work or study, without requiring any immigration permission. After 5 years of “pre-settled” status, you will be able to convert this to “settled status”, which means you can stay in the UK permanently.
Giá máy bắn cáWe are experienced and well-resourced in supporting international students. Before Brexit, around 65% of our students required visas to study here. We have an expert visa team in place to ensure that all students joining LBS are supported with any immigration requirements – and this will be the same for EU students applying for the EU Settlement Scheme.
Applying for the EU Settlement Scheme will allow you to stay and work in the UK after your studies. There will be no requirement for sponsorship, and no restrictions on what type of job you can do.
Giá máy bắn cáFrom 1 January 2021, we expect EU and non-EU nationals starting their studies in the UK to require the same immigration permission. The government is currently developing the new immigration system, which includes the newly announced Graduate visa. This will allow graduates to stay in the UK and work for two years following their studies. The details for this are still being developed and we will provide more information as soon as we have it.
For student visas, the UK government has committed to increasing accessibility to the UK for international students. We are confident that the new immigration system will support this aim, making it straight-forward for all non-UK students to study at LBS. Our expert visa team is in place to ensure we can continue to support all non-UK students at LBS.
We will continue to monitor developments with the new proposals and update information when it is available.
