The Alumni Council supports the School in developing and implementing the alumni engagement strategy, helping to strengthen the alumni community as well as the School's overall competitive position. Alumni Council members solicit and proactively represent the views and interests of alumni, acting as a bridge between alumni and the School. The Council aims to grow alumni engagement, building a lifelong sense of pride and belonging.
Dear alumni,
I am honoured to be Chair of the Alumni Council and an ex-officio member of the School’s Governing Body. The Alumni Council looks at what matters to alumni and what matters to the School and finds the congruence between the two things. We are a bridge. We represent alumni views and we advise the Dean and the School’s leadership on matters that impact alumni.
Each year the Council works on a series of projects to support alumni and the School. Typically these projects fall into four broad categories – alumni clubs, alumni services and resources, fundraising and brand, marketing and communications. Over the past year, working with club leaders, we have helped develop new guidance and support for alumni clubs. We have also worked with the School to gather alumni feedback and evolve our new alumni platform for networking and clubs – LBS Hub. And we have been consulting with the School on the longer term digital landscape for alumni and opportunities for lifelong learning.
In each of our quarterly Alumni Council meetings we have a standing agenda item to discuss current issues or areas of concern to alumni. We want to hear what’s on your mind and how we can help - so get in touch - alumnicouncil@london.edu.
